In 2009 we set out on our bikes across Cuba, following the cult band Buena Vista Social Club. The expedition was under the patronage of a London record label World Circuit that released the album by Buena Vista Social Club and solo albums recorded by musicians: Ibrahim Ferrera, Ruben Gonzalez, Omara Portuondo and Orlando ‘Cachaito’ Lopez. We crossed the island by bikes starting from the western province Pinar del Rio and reached the city of Santiago de Cuba situated in the east. The expedition was reported in publications in Polish press, including the Rowertour magazine.
